After a trip to Woodbine in Canada for the Natalma S. (G1), Cheyenne Stable LLC’s Ozara has shipped back to New York and will make her next start on Oct. 27 in the $135,000 Chelsey Flower S. at Aqueduct.
The 2-year-old filly, who had a solid fourth-place finish in the Natalma, her first stakes start, made only one start prior to that, a debut maiden win over the turf at Saratoga on Aug. 6.
Trained by Christophe Clement, Ozara drew post five in the full field of 10 that will travel 1 1/16-miles on the turf. As she was in the Natalma, she’ll be ridden by Dylan Davis.
Ozara is a daughter of Lope de Vega (IRE), himself a multiple Group 1 winner on the turf a decade ago and a champion sire in Europe. Ozara’s dam Cercle d’Or is a half-sister to European Horse of the Year Golden Horn.
The Chelsey Flower is race six on Saturday’s card, with a scheduled post time of 3:16 pm ET.
