After a rough trip in last month’s Arkansas Derby (G1), Time for Truth will look to get back to winning ways in Saturday’s $200,000 Bachelor S. at Oaklawn Park.
The 3-year-old colt, owned by Harry T. Rosenblum and Cheyenne Stable LLC, has shown plenty of promise to this point. After debuting a winner at six furlongs on Dec. 31, he accounted for himself very well while second in a sloppy running of the Ozark S. at the same distance on Feb. 10, then was a sharp 1 1/16-mile allowance winner, also at Oaklawn, on March 2.
After the 1 1/8-mile Arkansas Derby, the Bachelor is a return to a six-furlong sprint. The naturally quick Time for Truth will attempt to use his early speed when he breaks from post four in the field of seven. He will be ridden for the first time by Christian Torres for trainer Ron Moquette.
Post time for the Bachelor, race 8 on the card, is 5:20 pm ET.
