Cheyenne Stable LLC’s Ozara, who already has a pair of stakes wins over the Gulfstream Park turf course, looks to add a third in the $75,000 Monroe S. Apr. 26 at the south Florida oval.
The 4-year-old is making her third start of the year after an allowance win and a gallant effort in the Honey Fox (G3) on March 1, when she was beaten less than five lengths.
The 1 1/16-mile Monroe drew a field of 11 fillies and mares, with Ozara in post nine for trainer Christophe Clement. She will face the likes of graded stakes winner Life’s an Audible, and stakes winners Dancing N Dixie and De Regresso.
Ozara has an excellent overall record of 4-2-1 in nine starts, all on the turf, and earnings of $300,807.
The Monroe is race nine on Saturday’s card, with a post time of 5:09 pm ET.
