Clear Vision cuts back for $150,000 W. L. McKnight S. (G3)

Cheyenne Stables’ homebred 5-year-old Clear Vision will do the unusual in Saturday 1 1/2-mile marathon W. L. McKnight S. (G3) at Gulfstream Park, actually shortening up in distance after attempting the two-mile Allen Jerkens S. over the same course on the day after Christmas.

Perhaps left with too much ground to make up in the Jerkens, Clear Vision still closed a considerable gap to make up some ten lengths in the final half-mile.

The bay son of Artie Schiller will have plenty of time to find a good running position when he breaks from post 10 on Saturday. Trained by Jeremiah O’Dwyer, Clear Vision will be ridden for the second consecutive time by Robby Albarado.

The McKnight, part of the Pegasus World Cup (G1) undercard, will run at 4:13 p.m. ET.
