Less than an hour after Saturday’s $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic is history, Cheyenne Stables, Southern Equine Stables and Hat Creek Racing’s 3-year-old filly will try to make her own highlight in the $100,000 Fort Springs S., the final race on Keeneland’s stellar Saturday card.
The Fort Springs, a six furlong contest for 3-year-old fillies, drew a field of nine, with Clothes Fall Off drawing the six slot. The daughter of Daaher has finished in the top two in five of her six lifetime starts, most recently winning an allowance race at Belmont Park on Oct. 4.
This will be just her second stakes start following an unplaced effort in the Prioress S. (G2), when she had a rough trip compromised by her rider also losing his whip.
On Saturday, Clothes Fall Off will be ridden by Joel Rosario, who was aboard for her allowance win. Post time for the Fort Springs, race 12, will be at 6:15 p.m. ET.
