Head of Plains Partners and Cheyenne Stables’ graded stakes-winning colt Cowboy Culture will make his first start since May 27 in next Wednesday’s $200,000 Centaur S. over the Indiana Grand turf course.
The 3-year-old colt was a dominating, 5 3/4-length winner of the Arlington Classic (G3) in that Memorial Day weekend victory.
Though he’s been away from the races for three months, he’s not missed any training time, working regularly on both turf and dirt for trainer Brad Cox.
The one-mile Centaur drew a field of eight 3-year-olds, with Cowboy Culture getting the inside post. He’ll be reunited with rider Florent Geroux, who guided the son of Quality Road to three straight wins, including the Keith Gee Memorial S., to kick off his career.
The Centaur is race 8 on the Sept. 6 card, with a post time of 5:21 p.m. ET.
