Dynamic Golden Bell to contest Royal Ascot’s Windsor Castle S.

Hat Creek Racing and Cheyenne Stable’s debut maiden special weight winner Golden Bell has made the trip to the United Kingdom for Wednesday’s Windsor Castle S. at the historic Royal Ascot meet.

Trained by Wesley Ward, who has won eight 2-year-old events at Ascot, Golden Bell put in an electrifying performance in her April 22 debut at Keeneland, drawing off to win by nearly a half-dozen lengths and earning herself a trip across the Atlantic Ocean.

Though Golden Bell is cross-entered in Friday’s Albany S. (G3), Ward said she is most likely to run on Wednesday.

John Velazquez has the return call on the daughter of Macho Uno, who drew post 21 in the field of 28 juveniles going five furlongs on the straight turf course. Contrary to racing in the U. S., the outside draw is preferred in straight course racing at Ascot.

Wednesday’s race is scheduled for 12:35 p.m. ET and can be seen on the NBC Sports Network as well as TVG.
