Girl Talk, co-owned by Ramona Bass LLC and Cheyenne Stable, will make her first stakes start in the $100,000 Ladies’ H. Sunday afternoon at Aqueduct racetrack.
The lightly-raced, well-bred 5-year-old has made just six starts and sports a record of 2-1-1 with earnings of $97,545.
The Ladies’, contested at 1 1/8-miles on the main track, is for fillies and mares 4 and up, and drew a field of seven. Girl Talk was assigned post six for trainer Kiaran McLauglin and jockey Kendrick Carmouche.
Girl Talk is a daughter of leading sire Medaglia d’Oro out of the Unbridled’s Song mare One Caroline, a winner of seven of nine starts, including the Rampart H. (G2) and Sabin S. (G3), both at Gulfstream Park. Girl Talk’s fourth dam is former broodmare of the year Northern Sunset (IRE), who produced the European Horse of the Year St. Jovite and millionaire L’Carriere, as well as four-time graded stakes winner Lac Ouimet.
The Ladies’ H. is race 8 on Sunday, with a scheduled post time of 3:50 p.m. ET.
