Candy Meadows LLC-bred Hoosier Philly, who has raced at 10 different tracks in her career, will make her next start on May 31st in the $275,000 Shawnee S. at Churchill Downs, the sight of some of her greatest successes.
Now five years old and with earnings of over $1 million, Hoosier Philly has had a solid season thus far in 2025, placing in both the Houston Ladies’ Classic (G3) and Dig A Diamond S. at Oaklawn Park.
In Saturday’s 1 1/16-mile Shawnee, which is for fillies and mares four and up, Hoosier Philly drew post four of nine for trainer Tom Amoss and owner Gold Standard Racing Stable LLC. She’ll be ridden by Edgard Morales, who has been aboard for three of her last four starts.
Hoosier Philly has three wins in five starts at Churchill, including the Golden Rod S. (G2) and Rags to Riches S.
The Shawnee will be race 8 on Saturday, with a post time of 4:23 pm ET.
