Multiple stakes winner Hoosier Philly is slated to make her first start at Saratoga in Thursday’s $300,000 Ballston Spa S. (G2).
The Candy Meadows-bred 4-year-old filly is one of three main track only entrants in the 1 1/16-mile grass race that drew a total of eight entrants. Hoosier Philly will run only if the race is moved from the turf to dirt due to rain.
In her 14 lifetime starts, the Tom Amoss-trained filly has started at nine different tracks and won stakes at three of them. Should see run on Thursday, this would be her first start at a New York track. Winner of four stakes overall, Hoosier Philly has earned $860,765.
Amoss did not name a rider at time of entry for the Gold Standard Racing Stable filly, who will be the likely favorite if she runs. The Ballston Spa is race 2 on Thursday with a post time of 1:44 pm ET.
