Madefromlucky rolls by 12 lengths in Greenwood Cup (G3)

Madefromlucky earned his third career graded stakes win in emphatic style on Labor Day with a 12-length demolition of the field in the $200,000 Greenwood Cup S. (G3) at Parx (VIDEO).

For the first mile of the 12-furlong marathon, Madefromlucky was parked in third, biding his time until Javier Castellano asked for his run entering the last of three turn. He split horses with ease, taking command with Castellano looking back for competition, then drawing off with complete authority.

The 5-year-old horse evened up his record to 5-5-5 in 23 lifetime starts, with earnings of $1,231,500 for co-owners Cheyenne Stables and Mac Nichol. Nichol was the winning bidder, at $150,000, on the son of Lookin At Lucky at the 2014 OBS Select Sale of 2-year-olds.
