Mysticism, owned by Cheyenne Stables LLC in partnership with Perry Bass II and Ramona Bass, will make her first stakes start Oct. 7 in Santa Anita’s $100,000 Speakeasy S.

Also bred by those connections, Mysticism broke her maiden on Aug 4 at Del Mar at five furlongs on the turf, the same distance and surface as the Speakeasy.

Mysticism was a front-running, 1 ¼-length winner of her debut and will once again get the services of jockey Ramon Vazquez for trainer Richard Mandella.

The 2-year-old daughter of War Front is the first foal out of Clairvoyance, who is a sister to multiple stakes winner Dagnabit.

The Speakeasy drew a field of 10 juveniles, with Mysticism in post 6. Carded as race 4, the Speakeasy has a scheduled post of 5:35 pm ET.
