After running three times in less than two months, Taralena will make her return in the $75,000 Soaring Softly S. at Gulfstream Park on March 30.

The Cheyenne Stables’ 5-year-old got a brief break from racing following a good third-place effort in the La Prevoyante S. (G3) over the same Gulfstream turf course, but has been working regularly since then at trainer Christophe Clement’s Payson Park base.

The Soaring Softly, at 1 3/8-miles, is well within Taralena’s range. The daughter of Arch drew the inside post in the field of six fillies and mares, with Tyler Gaffalione to ride her for the first time. If she shows her speed as she’s done in the past, Taralena poses a serious threat to take the field gate to wire.
