Ulele to makes stakes debut in historic Black Eyed Susan S. (G2)

Fresh off a sharp allowance score at Keeneland, Ulele will take on some of the top 3-year-old fillies in the country in the $250,000 Black Eyed Susan S. (G2) May 17 at Pimlico.

Carded as race 11 with a post time of 4:48 p.m. ET, the 1 1/8-mile Black Eyed Susan drew a field of nine, with Ulele in post 3 for trainer Brad Cox and jockey Joel Rosario.

Ulele will face the likes of Cookie Dough, a two-time stakes winner at Gulfstream Park, Gazelle S. (G2) winner Always Shopping, the highly-regarded Point of Honor, and Grade 1-placed Brill among the contenders.

Ulele has won two of her three starts since stretching out beyond six furlongs and has never been worse than third in five lifetime starts. The Kentucky-bred is a daughter of Candy Ride out of Princess Arabella, who won the Sunland Park Oaks at three.
