Uphill Dance seeks big score in $2 million Music City S. (G2)

Uphill Dance, recently acquired by Cheyenne Stable LLC and Gary Barber, is poised to make her first start for her new owners in Saturday’s $2 million Music City S. (G2) on the unique Kentucky Downs turf course.

The 6 ½-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies drew an overflow field of 16. The track runs a maximum of 12 starters per race, and Uphill Dance will need two scratches by Saturday morning to draw in from her 14-post.

Should she run, Uphill Dance will make her first start outside of her previous home track, Woodbine. At the Canadian track, she has a pair of wins and placed in both the Alywow S. and Ontario Colleen (G3), the latter her most recent start on July 27.

Uphill Dance is trained by Rachel Halden and has Florent Geroux named to ride. The Music City, race 7, is one of six stakes to be run on Saturday’s card. Post time for Uphill Dance’s race is 4:04 pm ET.
